In her voyage to discharge her pending collection, Rainbow, and manage the trials from her vigorously announced legitimate war with Dr. Luke, the pop artist/lyricist had some an opportunity to develop as a woman. "I spent years working on myself and honestly a lot of working on myself was in the music. It was really like therapy because I would find what was the hardest thing I could possibly find to say and [the] thing that I didn't want to be true or didn't want to say," she proceeded. "It would just bring me to tears even thinking about saying it out loud in a room full of co-writers and that's when I knew that was the very thing I have to say."
