Jay Thomas who featured in parts on "Murphy Brown," "Cheers," "Mork and Mindy" and "Ray Donovan" has sadly passed away due to cancer. Thomas' specialist, Wear Buchwald, affirmed the news, saying, "Jay was one of a kind, never at a loss for words and filled with so much fun and wonderfully whacky thoughts and behavior."

Thomas got his first enormous break as Remo DaVinci on "Mork and Mindy" from 1979-1981. Notwithstanding, he was best known for playing Jerry Gold on "Murphy Darker" for almost 10 years. Thomas' significant other and two children were allegedly close by when he passed.

Jay was 69.
