'Catfish' Co-Host Max Joseph Leaving Show to Pursue Filmmaking

Nev Schulman is losing his long-term TV accomplice and 'Catfish' co-have, Max Joseph, to life behind the camera ... TMZ has learned. Max reveals to us he's stopping the MTV demonstrate - which he made and co-have for a long time - to seek after his sprouting profession in filmmaking. He says, "For some time now I have been straddling two vocations as TV host and movie producer and, while this level of occupied ness is a blessing from heaven, my life can never again support it."

Max includes ... "With 'Catfish' as yet going solid after 7 seasons, 115 scenes, 31 specials and hinting at no backing off, I feel it is at long last the ideal opportunity for me to make my exit."
